Who are you?

Everyone wants to be heard and felt. I moved back to my homeland in 2017 to understand my ancestors. I realized that the abstract painting is not totally enough for me to express myself. I felt like I was living in a different timeline when I was there. This made me questioned myself deeply about who I am and what I want. After I came back to Istanbul, my expression of painting changed. Being a woman is the main theme of my Red Series, how people see us and how we see us.
